Moi MēMe Nails Studio Partners Assemblyman tfor Nmai Dzorn --To organize free Breast and Health Screening Exercise

The Assembly Member for Nmai Dzorn Electoral Area in the Adentan municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Offei Albert Agyemang, has stressed the need for the women to endeavour to learn how to do a breast self-exam at home.
According to him, regularly examining your breasts on your own is an important way to find lumps and breast.
Mr. Agyemang gave this advised when he has partnered Moi MēMe Nails Studio to organize a free beast and health screening exercise for people in his electoral area.
Since the First Organized Movement to create awareness for Breast Cancer was initiated in October, 1985 in America, the month of October has each year been characterized by series of events to sensitize people on Breast Cancer with the aim of getting people conscious about this global issue.
Breast Examination and Screening activities are the usualtemplates used to mark “Breast Cancer Awareness” month each year; these are usually organized by Health Institutions and a few Non-Governmental Organization (NGO’s) that are established for the well fair of women.
However; Moi MēMe Nails Studio; a standard and multi-purpose Nail Studio based in Accra together with its partners this year decided to organize a free Breast and other Health Related Screening Exercise in Nmai Dzor Community around Adenta in Accra.
Saturday, 15thOctober had the Nmai Dzor Community carefully decorated with the October 12th 1992, SELF MAGAZINE Pink Ribbon Concept to symbolize the importance of breast cancer awareness.
The programme which was organized by Moi MēMe Nails Studioin Partnership the Charity Center for Capacity Building and Development (CHACDET) and M&M Medical Center with the full support of the Assembly man for Nmai Dzor Electoral Area, Honourable Offei Albert Agyemang was geared at creating awareness of Breast Cancer and also affirming commitment to the community in ensuring beautiful and health womanhood.
The programme was graced by several people in the community especially the men who decided to come and get screen for breast cancer and other health issues.
Staff from M&M Medical Center tested those gathered for Typhoid Fever, Malaria, Prostate, Breast Cancer, Blood Sugar Levels and offered medical counseling.
The Executive Director of Moi MēMe Nails Studio explained in an interview that since the studio was established three years ago, they have made it a point to help the community by organizing such program every six months as a way of giving back to the community.
She also encouraged other beauty salons and establishments to organize such activities since beauty and health are related and that one cannot be beautiful without being healthy she explained.
The Assemble man of the area, Hon. Offei Albert Agyemang expressed gratitude to Moi MēMe Nails Studio and Partners for the gesture.
