Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has advised that new standards should be set to improve Ghana's democratic governance.

The Minority Leader in Ghana's Parliament, Hon Haruna Iddrisu has promised to pay back the Majority leader, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu with the number of Parliamentarians at their disposal.

Hon Haruna Iddrisu addressing the press ahead of the dissolution of the 7th parliament and the installation of the 8th emphasized that he will remind the Majority Leader on how important resolution of 2/3 members of Parliament is much needed.

In addition, he publicized that he heard the president himself said he will reach out to the leadership of NDC and also His Excellency John Mahama, a statement he believes is not necessary since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been quiet since the General elections regardless of all the protests.

He voiced the need to let Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu appreciate what it means when the incumbent government does not have a two-thirds majority in the chamber every other time.

However, the Majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu affirmed that democracy is not about winner takes all matter but setting a new standard for improving Ghana's democratic governance.

He advised that Parliament should consider that Ghanaians are one people in a country with one destiny and be informed about our unity as a nation.
