About sixty (60) rampaging military officers have invaded the Wa township in the Upper West Region and unleashed their anger on residents on Thursday, June 1, 2021.
The rampaging military officers in a video intercepted by Soireenews were seen harassing and running after road users.
This portal has gathered that their action was triggered after an unknown tricycle driver in the Wa township bolted away with one of the officers’ mobile phone.
An eyewitness who managed to take cover said, innocent business owners and bypasses were beaten with belts and sticks.

They further seized some tricycles popular known in Wa as 'Mahama Camboo' from their owners as well as civilians motorbikes. Phones were forcefully taken from some people.
The Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council, Cletus Awuni who rushed to the scene after been informed about the occurrence was caught up in the heated operation, his phone was destroyed in the process.
Mr Awuni and others are currently seeking medical attention at the Wa Municipal Hospital, before he was sent to the hospital he complained of chest pain.
The angered military personnel has since returned to their base, at the time of this report.
