Mercedes Benz Saloon Car Involved in an Accident at Peduase 

A Mercedes Benz Saloon Car with a  DV number plate has somersaulted on the Peduase Aburi curved road, on Sunday, April 30, 2021, Soireenews Eastern Regional correspondent has confirmed.

According to a lady who was on her normal daily routine physical training exercise, climbing from Ayi Mensah towards Peduase on Friday early morning before 6:30 am, when the near-death accident occurred, the car was from Aburi and had just passed by Peduase when the accident occurred.

The eye-witnessed identified herself as Comfort Mantebea, a trader, explained that the driver lost the use of the brake of his car at the 3rd curved from Peduase, near Aburi, and in an attempt to control the car, it somersaulted after it hit a rock sitting on the right side of the double lane highway.

"After the car landed on its back, the driver managed to pull himself out of the car and some good Samaritans helped the other people on board out," she said.

"Luckily for them, those on board sustained only minor injuries to themselves but the car was completely destroyed,’ she added.

The car was registered on a DV number plate, but the trader lamented that the driver hurriedly pulled out the number plate after the accident, which made it difficult for everyone around to give out information about the accident car, even though she told William Ofori Akwaboa, that the accident car was a DV number registration.

Miss Mantebea narrated further, that the driver immediately came out of the car with haste and people around the scenes rushed to save him from the situation and after few minutes, he made a call to an unknown person which resulted in the arrival of a tolling car to immediately toll the car from the scene.

The images captured by those around shows that most parts of the Benz car were destroyed.
