Newcastle manager Steve Bruce will be in talks with Matty Longstaff over a contract extension at St. James Park.

Udinese have sparked out interest for the 20-year-old and a deal of £30,000 per week would be included in his deal which to make him the highest-paid player in the Italian club if he agrees to make the move.

The Magpies are reported to have upped their offer for the 20-year old to the region of £20,000 per week - a deal to keep him at the St. James Park to continue playing.

His contract will run out at the end of the season and Steve Bruce will be engaging in talks for the English International to stay and be part of his development.
