Juventus have confirmed the return of Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager.
The Italian boss has been re-appointed in the Old Lady hot seat following the departure of Andrea Pirlo earlier on Friday.
Pirlo was sacked after just one season in charge of his former club due to his failure to win the Serie A title, surrendering their crown to rivals Inter Milan.
Allegri won the Scudetto five times in five years as Juve manager between 2014 and 2019, and he returns to the club after an extended period away from football – having not held another job since his initial Juve exit.
“Massimiliano Allegri is the Juventus manager once more,” read a club news.
“Allegri finds a bench that he knows very well, a club that he loves and that loves him back, as today a new journey begins together, towards new goals.
