Mason sentenced to 1 Year Imprisonment for stealing and unlawful entry 

The prosecutor said the accused was an employee of the complainant Issifu Adamu, owner of the  “Still Don’t Rush block factory” at Asuokaw.

A 28-year-old Mason, Logo Philip has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with hard labour by the Asamankese circuit court, presided over by his Honour Abass Abubakari Adams, for stealing and unlawful entry.

According to the prosecution sheet, Logo Philip, on October 30, 2021, at Asuokaw next to Asamankese, unlawfully entered a warehouse of one Issifu Adamu with a criminal intent.

Moreover, on October 26, and 30 in Asuokaw, the accused stole 200 pieces of cement blocks valued at GH¢600, Hyundai and Rhino car parts valued at GH¢5,000 and other items all to the total sum of GH¢5,600.00.

The prosecutor said the accused was an employee of the complainant Issifu Adamu, owner of the  “Still Don’t Rush block factory” at Asuokaw.

The complainant detected theft on November 4, 2021, at about 14:00 hours GMT at his block factory and the warehouse. Upon interrogation he got to know that it was the accused who stole the items.

A formal complaint was lodged at the police station for further investigation and the accused was arrested, charged and later sentenced.
