Manchester City's chief executive, Ferran Soriano has also stood down from his role at UEFA.

Manchester United Football Club is reported to have resigned their decision from joining the European Club Association (ECA).

TalkSPORTS reports that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stepped down from his role on the UEFA Professional Football Strategy Council a few hours after the club announced their participation in the European Suer League.

“Twelve of Europe’s leading football clubs have today come together to announce they have agreed to establish a new midweek competition, the Super League, governed by its Founding Clubs," the club announced on Sunday.

The news outlet has further disclosed that all 12 founder clubs of the European Super League have resigned from the ECA and their respective representatives from the ECA board following the resignation of Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli from his role as ECA chairman with Man City chief executive, Ferran Soriano has also stood down from his role at UEFA.
