A 54-years old man Kofi Asare has allegedly been shot and killed on his farm by one Joshua Baidoo, 37, over a land dispute at Nnuanua Fante in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

Information gathered by Soireenews indicates that the suspect had earlier threatened to kill him.

The incident is said to have occurred on Thursday, 22, 2021, when the deceased went to work on his cocoa farm; the alleged suspect confronted him with a heated argument, and in the process, he shot below his abdomen.

Eyewitnesses heard the gunshot and rushed to the scene and found the deceased in a pool of blood with a little life left in him.

Following this development, the deceased managed to mention the suspect's name saying "Joshua has shot me in an attempt to kill me."

The community's effort to convey the deceased to the hospital was rendered fruitless when the deceased died on their way.
