The eyewitnesses disclosed to media  that Michael Atuah was doing some work out at the site with some colleagues when the suspects allegedly entered the site armed with a metal pole, machete, a kitchen knife among others.

A 25-year-old mason, Michael Atuah almost lost three fingers in an alleged machete attack by suspected land guards at Mankessim in the Mfantseman municipality of the Central Region.
The eyewitnesses disclosed to media  that Michael Atuah was doing some work out at the site with some colleagues when the suspects allegedly entered the site armed with a metal pole, machete, a kitchen knife among others.
He alleges that one of the suspects then hit the mason with the pole and swung the knife at the other victim's back, almost severing three left fingers as he tried to protect his head.
The suspects are alleged to have discarded the weapons before leaving the scene. 
According to the eyewitnesses, the victim's fingers were only attached by soft tissue when they arrived on the scene. It became a big concern when the victim's fingers continued to swell; adding that the victim was rushed and treated by Mercy Women's Hospital in Mankessim.
Speaking to media in an interview, the victim Michael Atuah also alleged that; the suspects made away with an amount of GH¢500 belonging to him.
The residents further called on the police to beef up security as their lives are in danger and being threatened in the area.
The eyewitnesses further revealed that two of the suspects have been apprehended by the police whiles investigations have been launched into the case
