Police and National Investigation Bureau (NIB) officials were at the scene on Wednesday afternoon, for investigations after which the body was conveyed to the morgue.

The man found murdered by an unknown assailant(s) in Koforidua has been identified as Managing director of “Our father” herbal soap company.

The man believed to be in his 50s, identified as Mr Alexander Kwateng, was found dead in an uncompleted building, near the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) office in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital last week.

A visit to the scene on Wednesday by a team made up of Police and the NIB on August 11, 2021, observed that the deceased was stabbed multiple times with a knife by his assailant(s) after a struggle.

He was lying in the supine position in a pool of blood while a knife and mobile phone stained with blood were found beside the body.

A visit to the house of the deceased at Koforidua -Oyoko revealed that the one week was observed, in a solemn mourning mood as the sudden death of Alex Kwateng has created anxiety in the entire family and the neighbouring communities.

According to the family, the deceased informed the wife that he was going to the hospital on the morning of Wednesday however did not return.

The family upon hearing the news on a murder case curiously went to the Police station to make an official complaint of his missing which subsequently, the family was allowed to identify the body.

The family is assisting the police in the investigation.

The late Alexander Kwateng left behind a wife and three children and the family has disclosed that he was a staunch member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
