Mr John believed in his 40s has been arrested by Dunkwa Divisional police command for murdering his seven (7) months old son.

The farmer allegedly killed his seven (7) months old son on Christmas and buried him at the Gambia in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality in the Central Region of Ghana.

According to the report filed by Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful of SoireeNews, he chopped the head of his seven (7) months old son and stabbed pregnant girlfriend after a misunderstanding ensued between them.

Hamdiya, the girlfriend of Mr John confirmed the incident in an interview with Abusuapanin Kojo Ahinful and described it as disheartening and shocking saying, the incident came to him as a shock and no one could fathom why he would do such.

Mr John is in the custody of the Dunkwa Divisional Police Command as majority of residents in the area have also expressed disbelief about the incident.

The Police are investigating the matter and have not yet released any statement as at the time of filing the report.
