The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said an investigation is ongoing to establish the actual cause of his death.

A man has been found dead in his room at Kwakyea, a suburb of Adweso - Koforidua, in the Eastern Regional of Ghana in less than one week after a herbal hospital manager died mysteriously.

The body of the deceased identified by police as Andy Sackey, well known in the vicinity as Foofo has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 19, 2021, according to the Eastern Regional Police command.

A seamstress, a friend to the deceased, Gladys Sarpong told media, that at about 3:00 pm yesterday, August 19, 2021, she went to the house of the deceased who was her storeroom partner out of curiosity after she noticed his absence from work and the fact that he was not answering her phone calls.

Surprisingly, she found him lying dead in the prone position in his living room.

She then went straight to the police station to officially lodge a complaint, and on receipt of this complaint, Police and complainant proceeded to the house of the deceased at Adweso- Kwakyea and she identified the room of the deceased to the police, with its door was not locked.

Police found the body lying in the prone position in front of his three-in-one sofa, wearing black boxer shorts.

The body was carefully inspected by the lead police investigator Constable Gloria Salassie but did not find any marks of assault.

The body was removed and conveyed to St. Joseph Hospital where Dr Benjamin Sam on duty, pronounced him dead
