The arrival of the police to the scene upon examination saw the deceased body peeled off the skin on his back.

A 49-year-old man has lost his life after going missing for a week at Biadan in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region. 

The deceased, Mr Rockson Kwasi Nsiah left home for a farm last week at Adukrom, a farming community at Biadan and was unable to return from the farm.

His family reported the case to the Senase Police Station for necessary action to be taken. A search party was dispatched to the bush to trace the whereabouts of the deceased but his body was found trapped in a rat hole at the bush.

Alrich24newsgh gathered that, after he was found alive, the rescue teamed managed to revive his weak condition but died shortly afterwards. 

The police were called to the scene and upon examination saw the deceased body peeled off the skin on his back, and right rib regions, the body was pale and the right swollen, lying in a prone position clad with a pair of green boxer shorts.

The police visited the rat-hole that allegedly trapped the deceased and the measurements obtained was 2ft width and 3.5ft depth. An empty matchbox was found on him and a piece of palm fronts was seen suggesting the deceased was on a rat hunting expedition. 

Information has it that, the deceased is a semi mentally deranged person and has no wife nor children. 

The body has since been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital Morgue in Berekum for preservation and autopsy. 

The police investigations are still ongoing for further conclusions.
