Man City tag £80m price on Sterling
Sterling has started City’s 11 matches this season — and also found himself out of the side in the final few weeks of last season.
Man City have reportedly sent a price tag of €80million for Raheem Sterling, talkSPORTS reports.
Marca claim that Barcelona are intent to reinforce their squad in January or in the summer, despite their financial problems.
The English International has already paused contract extensions talks with the Premier League side only to be assured that he is in the plans of Pep Guardiola.
The Sun reports that Barcelona are monitoring Sterling’s situation and Joan Laporta could sign the former Liverpool man following the player’s revelation that he wishes to play for the Catalan club someday.
Sterling has been identified as one of their targets, but the figure quoted could be out of their reach.
The England winger has openly talked about the possibility of joining a club outside the Premier League.
He has struggled for game time under manager Pep Guardiola this season.
