Make A Habit Of Eating Eggs, Fruits And Vegetables -Nutrition Officer Advises Ghananians
The nutrition officer in the Twifo Atti-morkwa district of Central Region, Doreen Nuworgah, has advised Ghanaians particularly pregnant women and children to make eggs, fruits and vegetables their chief food in this Christmas season.
She said that, regular eating of fruits and vegetables comes with vitamins that strengthens "our immune system to fight disease and infections."
Adding that, the nutrients in the fruits and vegetables also provide enough blood for both the pregnant woman and development of the fetus in the womb.
According to Doreen Nuworgah, egg on the other hand also improves the vision (sight) of both children and adults so she encouraged parents to always add egg to their diet and that of their children.
She reiterated that the mentality that egg contains excessive cholesterols that is danger to our health is untrue so people should eat more eggs to improve our vision and hair growth.
