The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Leader of Government Business and Majority Leader of the 8th Parliament of Ghana, Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has reiterated the need for all multi-party inclusive and comprehensive amendments to Ghana's 1992 constitution to reflect the global trends.

According to the Minister, if the constitution is reviewed, it will help the country to meet the current realities and future aspirations.

He cited several articles and powers given to the president by the constitution which according to him amounts to a monarchical rule that has been created by the constitution in the country and needs to be reviewed.

The Majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu was speaking at the Public lecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi which was under the theme: Constitutional Review; the perspective of a Legislator.

He, therefore, called on all hands to be on deck to see to it that, the constitution is reviewed to address most of the challenges some articles and clauses pose to the country.
