Kwasi Ernest has called out John Dramani Mahama over his lies about celebrity endorsements.

The artiste manager pointed out holes in the Ex-president comments concerning the recent saga of Samini and Sarkodie endorsing the NPP.

Mahama had stated in an interview on Starr FM that using celebrities as instruments of campaign is wrong therefore he and his party are trying as much as possible to not engage in that form of canvassing as it ultimately affects the career of the artiste in the long run.

Kwasi Ernest, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Excel, immediately pointed out that Mahama and his party use a lot of celebrities for their campaigns as he highlighted a number of artists who have endorsed the NDC in one way or the other.

He mentioned how Shatta Wale performed at a rally of the NDC in 2016, Mr Beautiful and others who have declared their support for the party and Mr John Mahama while speaking in an interview on Homebase TV.

Just because his party could not get Shatta Wale and Sarkodie on their party does not mean he should start telling lies, Kwasi said.

John Dramani Mahama then further explained that he harbours no hard feelings towards Sarkodie and Samini after the rappers endorsed his major opposition, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in their latest respective tracks.

The Ex-president Mahama said that the decision of is a personal one and he still has respect for both artistes regardless.

"I don’t have any antipathy or anger with anybody who endorses Nana Addo. That’s their decision,”

“I like them, they’re young talented musicians and my attitude towards them doesn’t change. Samini has been somebody that I like…and so if he’s endorsed Nana Addo it doesn’t change my attitude towards him.”

"Musicians will make music for you and all that but it doesn’t really amount to an endorsement, we don’t understand some of these things. In Ghana when a musician makes music for you or a political party then he comes against a lot of antipathy from the supporters of the other party, that shouldn’t be the case,” he said.
