Mafi Aflokofe Boy Beheaded Case: The Inside Story

Details emerging from nefarious moves by Okada rider, Dovi Tsidi and self-acclaimed prophetess, Madam Flora Ekpe to commit the crime of beheading a 12- year-old class three pupil of New Life Mission, in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region, Kofi Kuzagbe Tsidi has emerged.
The boy, a pupil of a private basic school at Mafi-Dove was allegedly beheaded by the two suspects at Mafi Aflokofe at 9:00 pm on Sunday, August 2021.
Information reaching Soireenews indicates that the suspects weakened the little boy by drowning him first in the river and then went on to commit the crime when he was unconscious.
The resident's sources have indicated that the Okada rider, Dovi Tsidi, and Madam Flora Ekpe were also known in the area as notorious criminals had been stealing properties of the innocent people in Mafi Aflokofe, Dove, and their adjoining communities.
Soireenews gathered from the scores of residents from Mafi Aflokofe, Dove, Devime, Dokpo, Aklamador, Agbenorkofe, and their surrounding communities that the murder of the 12-year-old male pupil will add to the unsolved ritual murders that are fast becoming a common feature in the Central Tongu District.
The residents stated that this adds to many other mysterious deaths that have been recorded in the Central Tongu District over the last couple of years.
Since 2012, about 15 mysterious deaths have been recorded in the community, with the bodies of the victims usually dumped at the outskirts of the district.
Many believe that the mysterious deaths are the handy works of ritualists in the community.
Since the news broke about the killing of 12-year-old, Kofi Kuzagbe Tsidi by the two suspects for ritual purposes last Sunday, Ghanaians are yet to come to terms with the rather sad incident.
The incident has been difficult for many people to comprehend, considering the time that the suspects lured the little boy to the bush to kill him.
As heartbreaking as the incident is, Soireenews believes that it is time parents sat up and lived up to their responsibility of providing the requisite parental guidance for their children.
It is not enough just to provide shelter, food, clothing, and other niceties for children, without knowing who their friends are and what they do at any point in time. Many a time, parents even go to bed while their children being on the principal streets, outside playing with other friends.
It is important that we observe and monitor every movement or activity of our children to protect them from falling prey to the ills of society.
This news portal thinks it is also a wake-up call for parents and every Ghanaian to be alert to happenings in our environment. We should not be quick to believe in unfounded claims by the people around us.
Both suspects are currently assisting with investigations while in custody at the Sogakofe Divisional Police Command.
