Lucky Mensah: I am currently managing a football club

Lucky Mensah, a highlife musician, stated to Graphic Showbiz that although he has not given up music, he is currently focusing his efforts on managing a football school.

"I am the owner of LM Soccer Academy, which has players in the Under 17 to Under 15 to Under 13 age groups.

He told Graphic Showbiz, "That is where all my focus has been recently, we play with teams all across the country and we are doing very well.

Lucky Mensah added that he was known as Skillsman and used to be a very excellent football player.

Highlife artist Lucky Mensah, born Alex Lucky Mensah, developed his ability at the age of 11 when he began singing in the Kristo Asafo church in Gomoa, Central Region.

He kept singing in the Accra New Town branch of Kristo Asafo when he relocated to Accra.

Later, he joined the Figo band, but subsequently left the group to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album in 1993.

Since then, Lucky Mensah has worked hard to gain acknowledgements for his works with 11 albums and hits such as 'Aduu Sumo Akwadu', Come Back To Me', 'Nkratuo' among others.

But it seems the father of five who insists he hasn't given up music has other plans as he revealed to Graphic Showbiz that he also owns a successful bread company.

I leave that to God; He will decide whether or not I should release something, so I am waiting patiently on Him, he said when asked if we should anticipate something from him in terms of music given that the general elections are just around the corner.
