Liverpool have reportedly launched a £77million raid to land Federico Chiesa following his stunning form for Italy at EURO 2020.

But Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli swiftly turned down the offer after Massimiliano Allegri persuaded him that the 23-year-old is a big part of his plans for next season. Repubblica reports.

The Old Lady have an obligation to permanently sign the EURO 2020 winner next year and he has been listed as untouchable at the Allianz Stadium.

Chiesa was one of the players of the tournament this summer as he helped Italy to triumphed over the Three Lions of England and win their first European Championship since 1968.

He is currently halfway through a two-year loan spell in Turin from Fiorentina where he lifted the Coppa Italia last term.

Report from Sun Sport earlier this month revealed that Chelsea have already been rebuffed by the Old Ladies in their quest to sign Federico for £85m.

And now Liverpool are thought to have been denied with a slightly smaller bid as they look to provide competition for their fabled front three.

The Reds perceived a lack of depth in attack to challenge Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino who have been a talking point for years.
