Jurgen Klopp earlier believed that along the middle of next season, when a vaccine is found the Reds could celebrate their win but the statement made by the city council seems convincing to fans who are eager to get on streets to celebrate the long-awaited Premier League victory.

"We are looking at plans on how a title win can be celebrated fully and would honor the club's and fan's ambitions to have a parade - this will only happen when it is safe to do so, lockdown restrictions have eased and the infection rate of the virus has been reduced," the statement said.

Liverpool will be given a Guard of Honor reception at the Etihad on Thursday when they play Man City.
