The new Upper East Regional Minister, Ambassador Stephen Yakubu has called for all-inclusive governance to grow the Region.

“We need to develop our region, the region we love so much and all the problems that are in the region, we are going to catalog them. We are going to look at them and grade them and see how we can handle them.”

The minister made the assertion on Sunday, March 14 after a traditional ceremony to welcome him to the Upper East Region as the Regional Minister.

He said he will work for hand in hand with the security agencies to reduce crime so that individuals within the region can go about their businesses without fear.

“… I think our main issue is security because we have been having a lot of issues about security in the region, and I am going to employ the security services and we will see how we can bring that down so that everyone can go about doing their work in peace….”

Ambassador Stephen Yakubu arrived quietly on Sunday, March 14, afternoon at about 3:30 pm.
