Iheanacho, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison secured a quarter final spot for Leicester City in a 3-1 victory against Burton in the English League Cup.

There were two changes for Burton from their home draw with Blackpool at the weekend, as Lucas Akins was dropped out for Liam Boyce and Richard Nartey for Reece Hutchinson.

On the other side, two players who started the 9-0 hammering at Southampton in the Leicester line-up, aside from Youri Tielemans and Jonny Evans totally changed the Foxes line-up, including Kalechi Iheanacho up front, looking for just his second Leicester goal since last September.

Kelechi Iheanacho did take his opportunity score as early as the 7-minute. The visitors enjoyed some cracking football as they carved through Burton and found Tielemans, who squared for Iheanacho to tuck the ball home.

Leicester sliced through Burton and got the second on the night. Praet got in down the right and pulled the ball smartly back for Youri Tielemans, who created the first and calmly slotted home the second of the night. Leicester dominated possession and looked dangerous every time they surged forward. They really looked good on the ball.

Burton came into the game in the 52-minute through Boyce as his deflected strike from the edge of the box evaded Ward in goal. The Leicester stopper could do nothing about it.

The Foxes lifted the tempo of the game and attacked Burton from all angles. The referee disallowed Barnes goal after Gray crossed smart. The Leicester winger turned the ball home from six yards, but the flag was up for offside against him.

Maddison closed the game in the 89-minte to grant the Foxes qualification into the quarterfinals. Gray surged down the right on the counter and picked out James Maddison in the box who curled the ball into the bottom corner.
