Lautaro Martinez On His Way To Atletico Madrid

Former Inter-Milan striker Nicola Ventola has stated that Lautaro Martinez will be joining Atletico Madrid this summer.

Lautaro’s future at San Siro has been uncertain in recent weeks and was linked with so many giant clubs across Europe, but the crippling debt problem which is reportedly amounting to £548million that the current Champions of Italian Serie A are battling right now has even worsened the situation.

According to Soireenews findings, the board of the Black and Blues have asked their league champions to waive two months' worth of wages to aid the club due to their financial predicament. 

This has been the case that has led to the fears of the exodus of Antonio Conte’s best men on the pitch where Lautaro is not an exception. 

In an interview on Twitch with former Inter team-mate Christian Vieiri, Nicola Ventola claimed Javier Martinez, who still has two years left on his deal will link up with the Rojiblancoss and be rewarded extremely well financially. 

Atletico Madrid currently holds a two-point lead over city rivals Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table. The taskmaster of the Rojiblancos, Diego Simeone was interested in Martinez when he was playing for Racing in his home country between 2015 and 2018. 

Martinez joining Atletico however could put the futures of Alvaro Morata and Luis Suarez - which are already uncertain at the club at further risk.

According to reports, Uruguayan forward Suarez has the option of leaving the Wanda Metropolitano this summer, just a year after joining from Barcelona, while Spanish International Morata has been a regular under Andrea Pirlo on loan at Juventus this season.
