Frank Lampard is under increasing pressure after his side’s defeat to Manchester City.

The Chelsea manager is under threats of losing his job following his side’s 3-1 loss to the former Champions at Stamford Bridge on Sunday which leaves them eighth on the Premier League table.

Huge investment were made by owner, Roman Abramovich to hit the ground running, bringing in Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell and a few others to strengthen the team.

The integration of the current crop seems not working for Lampard after suffering his fourth defeat of the season with none of his new signing consistently proving to standout.

Werner has failed to live up to expectation by struggling in front of goal with Havertz not coming close to his form during his time at Bayer Leverkusen.

Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell have been better yet distracted with injuries which costs the team especially against the top six.

The Athletic reports that Frank Lampard might see out the current season but could be replaced in the summer with a new manager to kick the ground running.

Reports have linked sacked manager of Paris Saint Germain, Thomas Tuchel to the job and failure for Lampard to improve could lead to his exit.

Chelsea are into the last 16 of the Champions League following an impressive run in the European competition.
