Frank Lampard has dismissed the numerous speculations heavily linking Chelsea to Bayern Leverkusen’s forward, Kai Havertz.

The Blues have already activated the £52m buyout clause of Timo Werner and the German is set to join Chelsea after the season with Hakim Ziyech already a Blue following his acquisition from Ajax.

 

 

In a pre-match conference on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, ahead of Manchester City’s visit to Stamford Bridge on Thursday, the Chelsea boss denied having made any contact with the German club over the transfer of their highly-rated player.

"He's a top player but we're certainly not going to comment on players at other teams," said the Chelsea head coach. "It cannot be our focus. No bids have gone in."

The Daily Telegraph reported earlier that Bayern Munich have emerged as favorites to win the race for Bayer Havertz, ruling out a possible move to the Premier League.
