Kwadaso Agricultural College is appealing to the government to assist them with infrastructure to enhance learning and teaching.

The Agricultural College at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region which was founded in 1922 has celebrated its100 years anniversary.

The school which is the oldest Agricultural College in Ghana has not had any infrastructural expansion since it was founded.

The Principal of the School, Rev. Benjamin Asante Mensah in an interview with Soireenews disclosed how the lack of infrastructure is affecting enrollment in the school.

He told that "it has become almost impossible to accommodate students who apply to the school because the current infrastructure can only accommodate a limited size of students and will continue to affect those who will apply for admission next year due to the sizes of structures in the school."

“The tutors have also been characterized with some challenges such as inadequate accommodation rooms, classrooms, and teachers bungalows“, Rev. Benjamin Asante Mensah revealed this to the media during the launch of 100 years anniversary of the Kwadaso Agric college today 28, October 2021.

During the launch, Principal Rev. Benjamin Asante Mensah told that, due to the population of the students, the school is finding it difficult to admit new students because they can not accommodate a large number of students.

He then appealed to the government to build structures for the school as even the school's teachers' bungalow has never seen any facelift since its construction.

On the part of the government, a representative from the Ministry Of Food And Agriculture (MoFA), Mr Lawoety Tetteh, Director of Human Resource Development and Management,  MoFA, commended the principal for being able to manage the situation regardless of the challenges with the limited facilities at the school.
