Lack of Accommodation for Doctors Affects Healthcare Delivery - Goaso Government Hospital

The Administrator of the Goaso Government Hospital in Ahafo Region, Mr. Sampson Namiak has appealed for accommodation for doctors and other medical specialists to enhance healthcare delivery in the region.

According to him, most doctors and specialists posted to the facility reject posting over the lack of residential accommodation, a situation that is hindering healthcare delivery in the area.

Goaso Government Hospital located at the regional capital serves Asunafo North, South part of Asutifi North, South, Bia East in the Western North region as a referral center.

Mr. Sampson Namiak was speaking to SN24 News reporter, Sulley Dramani when the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council- Goaso presented some PPEs to Frontline workers of the facility as part of its efforts in fighting Covid-19 among the workers.

The Chairman of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC)-Goaso, Rev. Johnson Nuako Nyametumi said the due reduction of Covid-19 cases in the Ahafo Region, donors, individuals, and other organizations have stopped supporting health facilities in the region with PPEs but the Goaso branch of GPCC think otherwise hence their gesture.
