Pipe repaired to serve purpose

Dr Michael Kyeremateng Foundation in its new humanitarian drive has heeded to the almost two years persistent cry of the people of Breman Dawurampong over lack of access to potable drinking water by repairing a close to two years existing malfunctioning borehole.

The situation compelled the farming community to rely on dugout and unhygienic streams for domestic use.

The Chief of the area Nana Kwabena Badu speaking in an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful said the community depended on a single Colonial dugout which led women and school children to struggle, fight, compete and form an endless queue to get water.

To solve the problem, he told that elders of the community adopted a shift system where half of the community fetch for a week and the other half take over the following week. He expressed that through the Assemblymember of the area Mr Emmmanuel Ankomah Aidoo, Dr Kyeremateng Foundation intervened and has given them a sigh of relief.
