Kweku Annan, the host of Net2 TV's "The Seat," claims that the Ghana Police Service is aware of the country's famed criminals.

This came following the killing of Constable Emmanuel Osei on the Metal Market Road in Jamestown on Monday, June 14, 2021.

“Ghana police service, you know them. I am going to mention their names. Why haven’t you arrested them? I am going to tell you how police officers including some igp who have treated these people because some top police officers are no their pay-rolls,” he stated.

He went on to say that if the Inspector-General of Police, James Oppong-Buanuh (IGP), wants to settle this, he should come and Net2 will help him, but he can't trust the majority of his men.

He added that these individuals (armed robbers) pay numerous senior Ghanaian police officers monthly in the amount of 1000 Ghanaian francs.

“These notorious robbers produce a calendar in this country. These calendar produced by these notorious robbers have records of the presidents right from Rt. Flt. J.J. Rawlings indicating their pictures on the calendars. So far the only person whose picture is not indicated on the calendar is the current president H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo and I will tell you the reason for the one day,” he stressed.

He questioned the Ghana Police Service about Nigerians competing on Mercedes Benz vehicles in various parts of Kwabenya, which were difficult to obtain a few years ago.

Meanwhile, competing in Mercedes Benz is more of an exhibition of firearms, open guns, and firing at Kwabenya every Saturday than it is a competition.

“Why haven’t you arrested them? Former IGP, you know this, what have you done?  What did you do?” he asked.

He stated that these Nigerian top criminals in Ghana had deceived many people in Ghana, including foreigners, by exploiting the name of Ghana.

“These robbers have cooperated with some hospitals in the order to get the fetus of aborted babies which they later send to Nigeria to sell,” he said.

He urged President Nana Akuffo-Addo to put up a committee to look into the matter before it gets out of hand.
