Kwamekrom Chief Warns NDC To Stop Saying Bad Things  About Cocoa Rehabilitation  Exercise Carried by COCOBOD

The Chief of for Kwamekrom, the cocoa growing community in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Nipah, has stated that they are not particularly happy about the way and manner the politicians, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are saying bad things about the ongoing cocoa rehabilitation exercises carried by the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).

The Chief of for Kwamekrom, the cocoa growing community in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Nipah, has stated that they are not particularly happy about the way and manner the politicians, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are saying bad things about the ongoing cocoa rehabilitation exercises carried by the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
 
Accordinginging to the chief, the increasing rate of the politicization of the policies of the cocoa sector is affecting the cocoa business and national development and they must stop it now.
 
Against this backdropped, the chief sounded a strong word of warnings to the politicians especially National Democratic Congress to desist from saying bad things about the cocoa rehabilitation exercise.
 
Nana Nipah issued the warning when he was speaking at a day workshop of the cocoa management system exercise organized by the COCOBOD for farmers at Kwamekrom yesterday.
Nana Nipah urged farmers to engage themselves to accept farmers' ID cards and added that this card is going to help cocoa farmers from criminals in their cocoa business.
 
He entreated the politicians especially National Democratic Congress (NDC) to desist from saying bad things about the cocoa rehabilitation exercise.
For his part, the District Cocoa officer for Bibiani Cocoa District in the Western Region, Mr. Osman Dauda who facilitated the program
stated that, they have introduced a new ID card policy to farmers that will help them in their cocoa business and it will differentiate the cocoa farmers from other businesses. 
He further urged the farmers to avail themselves to receive the new ID card policy since it's going to help them to sell their cocoa products and also help the government to know the number of farmers in the municipality and the number of Agrochemicals they will supply to the farmers.
Mr. Osman urged cocoa farmers to involved themselves in cocoa rehabilitation exercises and added that farmers be vigilant in terms of burning their farm service to avoid fire outbreaks. 
Some of the farmers also thanked the management of the COCOBOD and shared tfromard policy.
