Kwabeng Authorities  Negligence of Death Trap School Block Likely to Cause Disaster.

Headmaster of the school, Mr. Emmanuel Aboatei speaking in an interview said, the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Member of Parliament for Atiwa West and the Education Directorate have all failed to find a lasting solution for the children as a matter of urgency and act upon it as such.

The pupils of Kwabeng Anglican Basic School in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region are under threat as the current state of their school building is now a death trap hanging on a woods which if not check will likely cause disaster. 

The building which was constructed in 1960, over (62) has not seen any renovation or attention for some time now leading it to deterioration.

The situation looks appalling as pupils' teachers still patronise in the death trap building as there is no other substitute available to the school authorities.

The District Assembly, the Educate Directorate, the Traditional Authority as well as opinion leaders seem not to have taken any step to ensure the state of the e school building is dealt  with to avert any possible damages.

Headmaster of the school Mr Emmanuel Aboatei speaking with the media said, the school has population of 363 student but dosen't have a computer lab, no textbooks, no toilet facility and therefore appeal to the government, DCE and Non-Governamental Organisations (NGO) to come to their aid immediately before something bad happens.

The Chief of Kwabeng Nana Adjei Boateng who double as Parents Teachers Association (P. T. A) Chairman in the Anglican Basic  School, said Kwabeng Ang can Basic school since its establishment has, therefore, any renovation, he therefore urged that, he will do everything possible to contact the leaders to construct a new classroom block for the children in the town.
