Kubekro No 2: Residents call on government to fix their broken bridge
Collapsed bridge

Residents of Kubekro No. 2 in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra region are calling on government to fix their broken bridge. The bridge is currently a death trap and poses danger to the people especially school children.

According to them, they have petitioned the Kpone Katamanso Assembly to help fix the bridge but nothing has been heard from the assembly till date.

As a result, the residents want the government to come to their aid since the bridge connects communities in the area.

Students bear the brunt of the dilapidated structure  and have joined the call on government.

The Assemblyman for the area, Erkman Adjetey Mensah has made an appeal to NGOs to help construct a new bridge but to no avail.

He added that politicians only visit to make promises without fulfilling them.

They also say that, if nothing is done about it, they are going to take action and will not vote in the 2024 election.
