The District Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at the Krobo District in the Eastern Region, Mr Amewu Christopher has asked customers of the Krobo area using pre-paid meters to exercise patience amidst challenges in purchasing its credits.

The District Manager admitted that machines which are been used at the company are more likely to experience some shortfalls as human beings do at times become sick and seek medical attention.

He, therefore, called on the customers "please have patience for us since some of the machines have developed a fault not ECG alone but some other companies and is not deliberate that the pre-paid machine is not working for the ECG customers in Kroboland.

According to the District Manager, the challenges in purchasing pre-paid credits on Krobo districts sometimes is not a deliberate attempt but the challenge of ECG has been a global canker.

He made this call when the Electricity Company of Ghana from Tema Region in collaboration with the Krobo District Station at Somanya organise a football game among customers in the District as a way of smoking a peace pipe with the customers as  ECG officially resumes from Christmas break to start operation.

In an interview with Coach Allos a resident and a Manager of Real Kpong United at Kpong in the Lower, Manya Krobo Municipality stated that it is a good initiative by the Electricity Company of Ghana to build a cordial relationship between the company and its cherished customers.

According to him, this will help both ECG and customers in the district to unite and have a peaceful relationship following the long-lasting impasse between the two parties.

He concluded by saying "I have spoken to my boys so now if we see ECG customers we see them as our brothers and sisters likewise the same as they see us and we are ever ready to work with them on Kroboland" he stated.
