Kumasi Asante Kotoko has paid GHC 220,000 owed as salaries and winning bonuses to their players and technical team.

Players of Kotoko were owed two months’ salary arrears and five matches winning bonuses.

The Porcupine Warriors played against Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak, Karela Untied, Dreams FC and Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League as players were set to go on demonstration but through a kindly intervention of Dr. Kwame Kyei, the clubs Executive Director helped calm the situation.

The money has been paid into the player’s accounts according to sources.

The Kumasi based club has now break camp with the league been put on a halt until further notice as a result of the deadly coronavirus sweeping lots of lives globally.
