Ghanaian award-winning Hiplife artist, Martin King Arthur well known on stage as Kofi Kinaata, has revealed the source of his musical inspiration, claiming that his mother encouraged him.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Entertainment, Kofi Kinaata disclosed that his mother advised him when he was 6 or 7 years old to choose between being a musician and a footballer.

According to the ‘Confusion’ hitmaker, he was a natural singer as a child, and also a natural football player, and his mother’s greatest desire and ambition was for him to pursue either a career as a musician or a footballer.

He explained, “I’m extremely delighted because my mother told me when I was six or seven years old that she wanted me to sing or play football because I was a great football player, and now I’m singing,” he said.
