KNUST Appoints First Female Vice-Chancellor

The Governing Council of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has appointed Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Madam Akosua Dickson, a professor of Pharmacognosy at the institution, has become the first female to be named the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST.

A statement from the University today announced that she has been appointed for a four-year term, with effect from August 01 2020 – July 31, 2020.

Until her appointment, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson was the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university.

 

 

She now takes over from Professor Obiri Danso
