Jurgen Klopp has been revealed as the Premier League Manager for the Month of August.

The Liverpool manager was in the race with Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, Crystal Palace’s Roy Hodgson and Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City. Klopp adds to his collection of the monthly accolade for the fourth time (September 2016, December 2018, March 2019) since his arrival from Germany.

He has guided his Liverpool side in making a new club record of 13 wins in a row. The last time his Liverpool side dropped points at home was against Leicester in January avoiding a Premier League defeat at Anfield since April 2017.

He received the Award on the merit of being the only manager to maintain a hundred percent record in the first four matches of the various English Leagues. Liverpool trounced on Daniel Farke’s Norwich City at Anfield in the opening day fixture by 4-1. The Reds defeated Southampton by 2-1 at the St. Mary’s before breaking down Unai Emery’s 'accelerated' Arsenal side by 3-1 at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s team kept their first clean sheet in the Premier League away from home against Burnley. A three goal thriller was accredited to the Reds after a pleasing performance at the Turf Moor.

The Reds are on top of the PL table trailed by Manchester City with two points difference. Guardiola’s side drew their third game against Spurs at the Etihad.
