Kintampo: NGO Provides Busweema community water and Toilet facilities.

The Chiefs and People of Busweema in the Kintampo North Municipality of Bono East region have received a  40-seater toilet facility and 4 mechanized boreholes Compassion  International  Ghana,  a non-government organization (NGO) to end open defecation and perennial water shortage in the community

Kintampo: NGO  Provides Busweema community water and Toilet facilities.

The Chiefs and People of Busweema in the Kintampo North Municipality of Bono East region have received a  40-seater toilet facility and 4 mechanized boreholes Compassion  International  Ghana,  a non-government organization (NGO) to end open defecation and perennial water shortage in the community.

At a commissioning ceremony to hand over these facilities to the People, the Project Manager for Compassion International Ghana Mr. Edward Owusu Asare said his NGO seeks to support deprived communities in terms of social amenities and poverty eradication supports, hence their gesture.

He said, earlier before this donation, his out had already provided teaching and learning materials to schools in communities like Yara Kandige, Ntaraban and Busweema, and many others all in the Kintampo North Municipality.

He charges the chief and people of Busweema to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities for long-lasting.

Mr.  Owusu cautioned potential caretakers against poor maintenance culture. 

Receiving the projects on behalf of is a community,   Naa Kofi Kra Chief of Busuama expressed gratitude to Compassion International Ghana (NGO) for the kind gesture.

He pledged his commitment together with his subordinates to ensure proper maintenance of the projects maintain the projects to last longer.

Some residents who spoke to our correspondent expressed joy and gratitude for what Compassion International Ghana has done for them.

They pledge their readiness to collaborate with caretakers in ensuring proper maintenance of the facilities.
