A bread seller has been crashed to death on the Ahenema Kokoben Highway, in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region by a truck. 

A Kia cargo with registration number As-8711-13 claimed the life of a bread seller named Anokyewaa on Wednesday afternoon, October 13, 2021.

Soireenews interaction with an eyewitness, who is a meat pie seller by the roadside disclosed that the cargo was heading towards the Obuasi road yet following the driver's loss of control, he tried to brake at a nearby filling station to avoid collision with other vehicles queued on the congested road.

"One plantain chips seller alerted me of the vehicles awkward approach towards my direction so I decided to run for my life. 

"The bread seller, Anokyewaa who lost her life was also in the same direction I quickly shouted at her to escape the danger but it seems the direction she chose was the same route that the vehicle was heading towards. The cargo suddenly crashed her".

The cargo car, loaded with mineral water and other packed items struck her down before falling on its side.

The Police later arrived at the scene and after retrieving the lost body for preservation, the car was towed from the roadside to lessen the traffic flow. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the cargo is in police custody assisting with the investigation. 

Anokyewaa left two female children.
