Kenya's Kipyegon reclaims women's 1500m world title

At the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, USA, on Monday, Kenya's Faith Kipyegon won the 1500-meter event for the second time.

The two-time Olympic champion won the race in three minutes and 52.96 seconds, which is the 10th-fastest time ever. She completely dominated the competition.

At this year's World Athletics Championship, Kenya won its first gold medal.

Gustaf Tsegay of Ethiopia won silver, and Laura Muir of Britain won bronze.

With three gold medals, Ethiopia is second in the medal count behind the United States, while Kenya is third with one gold.
