The Deputy Communication Officer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr Eric Adjei has condemned attacks levied by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong against the biggest opposition party as the impoverished who always look up to government for support.

According to the Eric Agyei, the words by the Member of Parliament for Assin North are ‘thrash’ that devalues the NDC party and needs to be rebuked.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong made contentious remarks on NET2 television on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 regarding the state of Ghana’s affair from the perspective of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC.

According to the Assin Central MP, NDC in the history of Ghana have always looked upon government to support their needs without making any personal effort to improve their way of life.  He addressed that the NDC always benefits on initiatives sponsored by the NPP government yet they always fail to appreciate.

He further added that the NDC parent is looking up to government to provide their wards school uniform whiles the NPP looks for ways of improving the implementations of the country administrators yet the opposition party prefers to loot and share anytime they come to power.

“NPP always know for sure that poor governance will always disfavor them so they try their very best to find something doing and not depend on the government. NDC always thinks the government owe them a responsibility. They continuously look up to government for anything.

“Since the introduction of the Free SHS, NDC are enjoying the policy more yet they are refusing to appreciate it,” he said.

“If a political party could go on a march past and sing that free SHS is 419 (fraud), and today their flagbearer (John Mahama) can come out and speak that he initiated it, it boils up to them,” he expressed.

Speaking on Angel Midday News on the subject, the Deputy Communication Officer of the NDC cautioned the MP to be prudent and not make utterances that will devalue the image of the opposition party.

He explained that the incumbent MP  ‘is more than a criminal” and requested that he goes to court and justify himself on claims made by “Sexy Dondon” (Daniel Asiedu) on the murder of the late J.B. Danquah.

“Observe the words he said. Was he not the same man who called members of the NPP as fools? Why is he attacking the NDC this time? If NPP members are fools and he is part of the party, then there is no reason to pay attention to his words.

“Sexy Dondon spoke his name, he should rather go to court and answer.

“He is like a gang leader who goes around talking sh**t… I am surprise at the way NPP has given him the freedom to speak; he should know that he time would be up someday.

“He feels like saying anything whenever there is an opportunity,” he added.

Mr Eric Adjei justified that the claim against the NDC on the free Senior High School Education is false since NDC members and leaders are hardworking and ambitious personalities laboring to push Ghana forward.

He warned against such antics in modern day politics asserting that “this system of politics will never progress Ghana.”
