Kay Smooth, who has been performing for 20 years, laments the fact that he hasn't yet broken through, but he insists he won't give up

Isaac Nii Adotey Pappoe, better known in Ghana by his stage name Kay Smooth, admitted that despite having been in the business for 20 years, he hasn't yet become well-known.

Apparently, back in the late 1990s, the vocalist was a member of the same group as the late Dancehall performer Terry Bonchaka.

He was recently questioned about whether or not he was discouraged by his lack of success in the music industry by well-known on-air personality Amansan Krakye.

I always think that timing and season are important, and that God sometimes arranges things in a way that cannot be changed.

Everyone has their own period, therefore you must continue working until God's appointed time for you arrives; when it does, it will be completed.

It's been a real adventure for me to go from where I started more than 20 years ago to this point, and sometimes that's what you go through when God wants to send you somewhere higher.

In a recent interview with Kastle FM, he said, "God takes you through the process to truly grow yourself before you blow and I believe in that so it doesn't discourage me in any way but it's a learning process for me.
