Klopp since arriving from Borussia Dortmund has transformed Liverpool from top four contenders to European Champions. He guided the Reds to their sixth Champions League victory at the Stade Metropolitano after they triumphed on Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspurs by 2-0. Under his reign, Liverpool challenged to win the 2018/19 Premier League trophy but were denied after Manchester City beat them by a point to defend the title.

Manchester City although was eliminated in the quarter finals of the European Champions League by Spurs, yet they were guided by Pep Guardiola to clinch the local treble; the Premier League, the League Cu and FA Cup.

Mauricio Pochettino has nothing to boast of when it comes to silverware, yet the former Southampton manager has been impressive with the Norther London team in their quest for the Champions League trophy last season. Spurs for the first time made it to the UEFA competition final by overcoming English Champions, Manchester City and Ajax in the quarter and semifinals respectively.

They were denied by Liverpool’s early penalty lead from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi’s late stunner. Pochettino’s arrival has infused competition in the Tottenham squad and transformed them into top 4 contenders.
