The Nations Builders Corps (NABCO) Regional Coordinator, Dennis Kwakwa has called on the scheme’s trainees to arise and campaign contrary to former President Mahama’s message to upset the election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming polls.

 

 

According to him, the flagbearer of the NDC’s endorsement of the Okada scheme ahead of the NABCO, an initiative that has resolved graduate unemployment is an insult to graduates in the country hence the need to begin a thorough crusade to block the NDC's slight chances of returning to power.

“If you have a president who knows that the people enrolled on NABCO have a post-secondary certificate and have learned specific discipline i.e. health, education and he says despite the certificates they have, he is eager to change the NABCO program into okada scheme, it tells you that the president who was and want to come back has no vision. He doesn’t want to take responsibility due to the cost involved," he said.

 

 

The Kwabre East NABCO personnel on Monday, September 22, 2020, launched the ‘NABCO Ladies” to support the campaign of the New Patriotic Party in the constituency. The aim of the Ladies movement is to aid the originators of the initiative to retain power in order to win permanent employment in their various places of work.

Briefing the press, Dennis Kwakwa who also is the Ashanti Regional NPP Youth Organizer uttered that government spends much to keep the NABCO scheme active, a program which has seen the resolution of graduate unemployment in Ghana which demands continuity to better the lives of the future leaders.

 

 

He asserted that John Mahama’s vision to strengthen the Okada business is evidence of the lack of vision of the former president, charging all NABCO trainees to rise up and stand against the averageness of the NDC before the worst happens to the beneficial scheme.

“Nana Akufo Addo spends 70m cedis every year just to keep these people (trainees) going. Some of them have been enrolled unto virtual learning program that is going to add more quality to them before they joined and so if you have a former president who wants to come back again, who only sees okadaism in NABCO training, then it should tell you that he has nothing fought right coming forward with, and therefore every NABCO trainee must take it as an insult and stand up against John Dramani Mahama, the one who said he is not a magician to create this job for them.

 

 

“Mahama has nothing good for the future. The 1m jobs he seeks to create in the next four years, over 80 percent of his expected jobs will be for okada riders that is why NABCO trainees must stand against this mediocrity, this insensitivity, and the lack of focus on the part of John Mahama and the NDC. And I believe that Nana Akufo Addo will make them better than who they are today.  

"We believe they will not sit for Mahama to come and change them into okada riders.

He attested that the decision by the NABCO ladies in the Kwabre East Constituency to campaign in support of the NPP is a testament to the impact of Nation Builders Corp introduced by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on the life of beneficiaries.

 

 

He added that the constituency’s firmness will positively affect the Member of Parliament, Francisca Oteng Mensah to garner more votes for a second term in Ghana’s parliament.

“To have a whole group of NABCO ladies who have declared their support for the president and the MP tells you that women play a great role in today’s politics. We are assuring them the step is in the right direction so they should keep on and act decently.

“The NABCO policy came to replace the Unemployed Graduate Association. Their message should be about preaching the benefits of NABCO in order to benefit the NPP government in the upcoming polls.

“They have very good testimonies shared over the platform and it is a statement to Ghanaians that without NABCO they wouldn’t be where they are. With the implementation of NABCO, they see a future.

“The president’s implementation is what has motivated them so much to undertake this course. This will influence the decision of so many Ghanaians, come December.

“They have a great manifestation in life that affects them personally and their families on a larger scale.

“If they should go out and campaign massively due to their maturity, it will affect them and the president plus the MP,” he added.
