John Mahama Meet Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches Executives to discuss Matters of National Development

The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has met with the executives of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches (GPCC) to discuss subjects of concern affecting the nation ahead of the 2020 elections.

The former president in a bid to win back power from Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party seek to address Ghanaians with a fertile manifesto on areas of national development including education, security and more importantly, religion therefore meeting the religious leaders was key in welcoming ideas.

National Chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah were part of Mr. Mahama’s visit together with former presidential aspirant, Mr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah and Mr Sylvester Mensah.

Bishop S. M. Mensah assured the delegation that the church will always be involved in the development of the country. He stressed on the need for politicians to be much concerned about National Development and not their partisan interests.

The president announced that he has put in place policies needful to collate information from various economic and social groupings in order to establish solutions that are in line with the aspirations of the people.
