A 19-year-old Junior High School female final student of Wisdom Hill Academy International at Aputuogya in Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region, Gloria Asare has been in a critical condition after she was subjected to severe beating by her two teachers of the school in the persons of Abubakali Harkman and Emmanuel Boateng.

This notwithstanding, the two, Mr  Abubakali Harkman, the Science and Maths teacher and Mr Emmanuel Boateng also English and French teacher who had beaten the student have reportedly asked the owners of the school to sack the student for which the owners have heeded to their decision to do so.

According to the girl, her two teachers gave her classwork to do, but it seems that she didn't perform well when the teachers were marking her class works.

Her no performance, she stated angered the two teachers and that they ordered four big boys to lay her onto a table and they (teachers) started beating her.

"At first Abubakali Harkman finished beating me ten lashes on the table and after that Mr Emmanuel Boateng who also came in asked the boys to lay me on the table and he also gave me ten lashes, making its twenty (20) lashes, so after all these beatings l couldn't sit down again since my swallow bottom is very paining me," Gloria Asare cried out.

Following this development, the parents of the girl reported the case to Feyiase police station and the police referred the case to Aputuogya palace to solve the case while the girl haven't received any treatment.

Speaking in an interview with this reporter, the parents of the girl noted that one of the sad stories of this case is that the school proprietor has now dismissed the final year student from the school and her four junior brothers and sisters.

According to them, the teachers who committed the beatings of the girls are still teaching in the school.

The distraught parents are calling the Member of Parliament (MP) Bosomtwe Constituency who doubles as the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwim and Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah to intervene in the matter to bring the situation under control.

"We are calling on you to come to our because the children have stranded especially the form three year girl who is already registered, the girl after beaten her for twenty lashes and she can not sit down and still she needs medical treatment," the parents stressed.
