According to the manager speaking to over 1000 students explained that the National Health Insurance policy covers about 95% of all ailments that are presented in Ghanaian health care facilities.

The Jaman South Municipal Health Insurance Scheme Manager, Mr. Maxwell Mahama as part of his effort to educate more citizens to understand the operations of their activities has sensitized the students of Drobo Senior High School (DROSEC) in the Municipal capital of Jaman South of the Bono Region. 

According to the manager speaking to over 1000 students explained that the National Health Insurance policy covers about 95% of all ailments that are presented in Ghanaian health care facilities. 

He said as a member, you stand the chance to benefit from the following health coverage and services:
1. Out-patient services (OPD) General and Specialist Consultations including reviews:
Conditions treated in an outpatient setting include the following:

(a) Malaria, acute tract infection, diarrhea diseases, skin disease and ulcers, hypertension, acute eye infection, rheumatism, anemia, intestinal worms disorders, acute ear infection, typhoid fever, diabetes, asthma, and others. 

(b) investigations including laboratory tests, x-rays, and ultrasound scans.

He finally added that In-Patient Services (IPD) like processing and provision for blood (grouping and matching) are covered under the National Health insurance policy.

He, therefore, urged the students to encourage their parents and guidance to keenly register with the National Health Insurance Scheme to benefit from most of the services being offered by the policy.
