The first Ghanaian celebrity to surpass 10 million Instagram followers is Jackie Appiah. At a time when celebrities' influence is based on the number of followers they have on social media, Jackie's accomplishment has elevated her status as one of the most influential actors in Ghana and Africa.

On Instagram, Yvonne Nelson and Juliet Ibrahim, two Ghanaian actors, have 7.3 million and 7.4 million followers, respectively.

The mother of one claimed that she doesn't want to debate the controversial subject in public because what others do personally in private is none of her concern during an interview with a new host of United Showbiz, MzGee, on United Television (April 2, 2023).

She pleaded, "Please I am minding my own business," amid the raucous laughter of the panelists and host MzGee. The same view was echoed by actor James Gardiner, who was a guest on the program.

"I don't really care what people do in private or who they sleep with...They specialize in that, he replied.
